About Food & Drink

The food industry is composed of companies that produce, transport, and distribute food.  Throughout this chain from “farm-to-fork,” food and water may be compromised by a number of contaminants.  Activities such as education on proper sanitation techniques, regulation throughout all levels of the food industry, and quality monitoring techniques could assist in the prevention of cases of foodborne and waterborne illness to improve consumer health and welfare.
